Dehradun, 1 July: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated in the “Super Doctors Award” program organized by Red FM on the occasion of “National Doctors–Day” at Nanda Ki Chowki, Dehradun on Saturday.
On this occasion, he honored the doctors who have made outstanding contributions to the field of medicine. Congratulating all the doctors who were honored, the Governor expressed gratitude for their work being done for humanity.
The Governor said that our doctors have a huge contribution to the welfare and prosperity of the nation and society. Doctors have a big role to play in the good health of the people and happiness in their life. Our health is our biggest wealth. Maintaining good health depends on our doctors. That’s why doctors have also been given the name of God, it is the responsibility of all of us to honor them.
Lt-General Singh said that good health is everyone’s need. In today’s time, the more progress medical science has made, the more challenges are also increasing. Health standards are constantly changing. Our doctors and medical science will have to find solutions to these challenges. He said that our doctors are the best in the world. The way India has conquered Corona is proof of the capability of our doctors. After Corona, they emerged as the ‘health warriors’. Doctors of India are making an incomparable contribution to the strength of the people with their commitment and efficiency.
The Governor further added that it is necessary to honor and encourage good works, for this he appreciated the efforts of Red FM.
Executive Director of AIIMS Rishikesh Dr Meenu Singh, Station Head of Red FM Rajat Shakti and other dignitaries were present at the program.
