AMRITSAR, 18 Apr: Governor, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), visited the holy Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar on Saturday and offered prayers. On this occasion, he prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the country and the State.
The Governor said, “Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a religious place, but a divine confluence of humanity, equality, and selfless service. The resonance of Gurbani, the serene atmosphere of the sacred sarovar, and the spirit of service visible all around deeply touch the soul.”
He added that this holy place teaches us that true devotion lies not only in prayer but in service, dedication, and love.
