CM hands over appointment letters to 212 polytechnic students

Dehradun, 17 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to 212 candidates selected from government polytechnic institutes for the Technical Education Department at a programme held at his official residence here today. Technical Education Minister Subodh Uniyal was also present on this occasion.

These final year students of government polytechnic institutes have got jobs in various companies. The government claims that, so far this year, 65 percent of the youth have been selected from various government polytechnic institutes.

Congratulating the youth who received the appointment letters, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the appointment letter is the first step towards fulfilment of the dreams of all the youth. It is also an honour for their hard work and dedication during their education period. He expressed the hope that every student selected will discharge the responsibilities with full dedication. He said that the state government is trying to provide adequate employment opportunities to the youth in every field. The private sector is also playing an important role in providing employment within the state. The development of non-government industrial units is the main pillar of the economic development in the state.

Dhami said that there is no dearth of talent in Uttarakhand, and the state government is working to give these talents the right direction and proper opportunities. Increasing employment opportunities for the youth is an important link and means to achieve the goal of developed India and Uttarakhand. He claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many historical works have been done in the field of technology, employment, skill development over the last 10 years. The youth have got an opportunity to move forward in every field within the country. The CM asserted that, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, innovation and technology have been given priority in the country and that a new industrial revolution has started with schemes like Startup India and Make in India.

An online training and placement centre has been set up in the state for the students of technical education, through which they will be given training to get better employment. Dhami claimed that in the past 3 years, the state government has given appointments to more than 15,000 youth in government departments. Also, the recruitment process in the state has been made completely transparent. Every stage from examination to appointments is happening within the stipulated time.

The CM also claimed that the transparency in the recruitment process has increased the trust of the youth in the government. This transparency motivates the youth to participate wholeheartedly in the recruitment process. He added that, during visits to various areas in the state, he has noticed that people, especially the youth, are thanking the government for implementing the anti-cheating law. This transparency achieved by the government is possible only when both the policy and intention of the government are clear.

Dhami claimed that the state government is working continuously for every section of the state. Integrated development is the priority of the government. He reminded that Uttarakhand has stood first in achieving the goals of sustainable development issued by NITI Aayog.

Technical Education Minister Subodh Uniyal asserted that special attention is being given to quality in the field of technical education in the state. New courses are being run according to the requirement of industrial institutions so that the youth can get direct employment. Providing employment through technical education is the priority of the government. Out of 3,500 final year students in the state’s polytechnic colleges, 2,303 have already been given employment. Polytechnic colleges have also been linked to modern technology. To provide employment opportunities to the youth in other countries, the government has also decided to teach German and French languages ​​in the state’s polytechnic and engineering colleges. He said that teachers have been appointed in every college for quality education. He told the students that the objective should not be to merely get a job but also succeed in the private sector through o dedication, knowledge and work style. He called upon the youth present on the occasion to always do their best in the field related to them and to move forward on the path of continuous success.

On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Kalpana Saini, Chairman of Gau Seva Aayog Rajendra Anthwal, Additional Secretary, Technical Education, Swati Bhadauria, Director, Technical Education, RP Gupta, representatives of various industrial institutions and departmental officers were also present.
