Dehradun, 2 Jul: The state government has decided to organise a 15-day ‘Seva Pakhwada’ across Uttarakhand from 4 to 18 July 2026 under the second phase of the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign. The programme is being conducted in line with the spirit of service, good governance and dedication, with the aim of strengthening dialogue between government and citizens, resolving public grievances swiftly and ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person standing in the queue.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be completing 5 years as the CM on 4 July.
During the fortnight, various departments will undertake extensive publicity of welfare schemes and make special efforts to cover eligible beneficiaries under government programmes. Information about development works and the government’s achievements will also be disseminated widely. Special multipurpose camps will be organised at district, block and tehsil levels where officials and staff from different departments will be present to resolve public issues on the spot and extend benefits of schemes to eligible citizens.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has directed all the departmental heads and district magistrates to ensure that the programmes under the Seva Pakhwada are organised in a time-bound, effective and participatory manner so that maximum citizens can benefit from government schemes. He has also instructed that camps should not be repeated at locations where they were already held during the first phase of the campaign.
The Seva Pakhwada is intended to reinforce the government’s commitment to service and good governance by bringing administration closer to the people, addressing grievances promptly and ensuring that welfare schemes reach every corner of the state.
