Graphic Era celebrates “Start-up Day” on 88th Birth Anniversary of Dr Kalam

DEHRADUN, 15 Oct: An event took place at the TBI Centre of Graphic Era deemed University, at which specialists informed the students of the various start-up policies of the central and the state governments. Chief Speaker Anupam Dwivedi, Deputy Director of Start-Up Uttarakhand said that the journey was very challenging but not impossible. Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Dr RK Sharma said that teachers played an important role in enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of the students because they could motivate them. He said that the Graphic Era Group had always been helpful for the students in initiating startup activity. Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr HN Nagaraja asked the students to adopt a positive attitude in order to achieve new milestones. Siddharth, a member of Start-Up Uttarakhand, said that the government and his organisation were working on new policies to promote startups. Under these policies, the government would provide financial support to all projects within Rs 100 crores under the startup. In this, 50% subsidy would also be given to the companies of Uttarakhand. An amount of Rs 10,000 is given to males and Rs 50,000 to women. Manish Srivastava, founder of moxie lab, highlighted the importance of start-ups. Rajat Jain, founder, Sunfox Technology, shared his successful startup experience with the students. At the end of the programme, the winners of montage 2.0 were felicitated by Anupam Dwivedi. Students from various departments of Graphic Era Deemed University participated in this event.
