Graphic Era’s Pradeep Rana sets off on 8 nation journey

DEHRADUN, 18 Sep: Pradeep Rana, a student of Graphic Era Hill University, has set off on a bicycle to travel through eight south eastern countries to spread the message of world peace and environmental conservation. Professor (Dr) Kamal Ghansala, Chairman, Graphic Era Group, flagged off Rana’s journey. Prof Ghanshala congratulated Rana and announced monetary help of Rs 1 lakh for his journey. Rana said that he would travel to Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore on his cycle, where he will meet people from different cultures and societies and spread the message of world peace. Rana will cover a distance of 12,000 kms in seven months. This journey, which starts from Dehradun and end in Singapore. It may be noted that BSc IT final year student Pradeep Rana had hit the news headlines before this for his world record attempt of covering the entire country on a bicycle in 2017. Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Hill University, Prof Dr Sanjay Jasola, Director Dr Ajay Kumar, Registrar Col BS Bisht (Retd) were present at the flagging off ceremony along with hundreds of cheering students.
