Dehradun, 13 Dec: The Harbans Kapoor Memorial Trust organised a blood donation camp here, today, which was inaugurated by the Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, as the Chief Guest. This event was held on the occasion of the third death anniversary of the late Harbans Kapoor, a senior politician and former Speaker of the Uttarakhand Assembly.
On this occasion, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan paid tribute to Harbans Kapoor by offering flowers before his portrait. She highlighted that Kapoor served as an MLA for eight terms, and his contributions were not only significant in the politics of Uttarakhand but also in social service and public welfare. His works will continue to inspire, and his memories would forever remain in people’s hearts.
Many citizens actively participated in the blood donation camp. The Speaker honoured the donors with certificates and emphasised the importance of blood donation. She stated that blood donation not only saves lives but is also a symbol of unity and empathy in society.
Ritu Khanduri addressed the gathering and shared several anecdotes about the personality of the late Kapoor. She further remarked that today’s politicians should draw inspiration from his life. His dedication, integrity, and sense of duty toward the people would continue to serve as an ideal for all.
Present at the event were Cantt MLA Savita Harbans Kapoor, Amit Kapoor, Atul Kapoor, Ghanshyam, Mandal President Anju Bisht, Sanjay Gupta, and others.
