Dehradun, 16 Jun: In line with the directives of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a special free Health Security Camp is being organised on 17 June for journalists and their families by the Department of Health and the Department of Information. The camp will provide free health checkups and medical consultations by senior doctors from the Government Doon Medical College.
Demonstrating concern for the health and well-being of journalists in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had recently instructed officials to organise a dedicated medical camp for media personnel. Following his instructions, the health and information departments have jointly arranged this special camp, which will commence at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Directorate of Information, located on Ring Road, here. The camp will offer all essential diagnostic tests, ensuring that journalists receive proper medical advice and treatment.
Director, Medical Education, Dr. Ashutosh Sayana stated that the camp will include senior physicians from Government Doon Medical College, such as Dr Vivekanand Satyawali and Dr. Ankur Pandey (General Medicine); Dr Ashok Kumar (Paediatrics); Dr Nitin Sharma (ENT); Dr Shanti Pandey (Ophthalmology); Dr Amar Upadhyay (Cardiology); Dr Chitra Joshi (Gynaecology); Dr Anil Joshi (Orthopaedics); Dr Debashish Savai and Dr Yogeshwari (Dentistry); Dr Dinesh Chauhan (Surgery); Dr Manoj Biswas (Urology).
Specialists in dermatology and mental health will also be available to provide consultations. Approximately 265 diagnostic tests will be conducted free of cost at the camp.
“Journalists are a vital pillar of society. Their well-being is of utmost importance. This health camp is part of our commitment to their health and welfare. Similar camps will be organised from time to time to ensure continuous health benefits for journalists,” stated CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
