Higher Education Dept gets 10 more Laboratory Assistants

Dehradun, 27 Jan: The Higher Education Department has received 10 more Laboratory Assistants in various science disciplines. The candidates, selected through the State Public Service Commission, were today handed over their appointment letters by the departmental minister, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat. On this occasion, Dr Rawat congratulated all the newly appointed Laboratory Assistants and extended his best wishes, while expressing his expectation that they would discharge their departmental duties and responsibilities with complete dedication and honesty.

Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat distributed appointment letters to 10 candidates selected from the waiting list for the post of Laboratory Assistant under the Higher Education Department through the State Public Service Commission, at his official residence today. These include 1 candidate in Physics, 3 in Zoology, 4 in Botany, and 2 in Geography. All the selected candidates have been given their first postings in colleges located in remote areas of the state.

In Physics, Rakesh Chandra Binwal has been posted to Dwarahat College. In Zoology, Vimla Mauni has been posted to Dwarahat College, Pooja to Karnaprayag College, and Rohan Kaushik to Gairsain College. In Botany, Shivani has been posted to Karnaprayag College, Hariom to Satpuli College, Pulkit Pratap to Dwarahat College, and Kuldeep Singh Chauhan to Thatyur College. In Geography, Mahadev Nautiyal has been posted to Nainidanda College and Harish Chandra Joshi to Kanda College as their first postings.

On this occasion, Dr Rawat expressed the hope that they would perform their duties and responsibilities with full honesty and commitment. He stated that the appointment of Laboratory Assistants in government colleges would ensure the smooth conduct of practical classes in various subjects. Students would get better access to laboratory-based practical work, which would enhance their subject understanding, skill development, and ability to solve real-life problems.

Present on the occasion were MLA Jageshwar Mohan Singh Mehra, Joint Director, Higher Education, Dr AS Uniyal, other departmental officials, the newly appointed Laboratory Assistants, and their family members.
