Mt Zion School holds Cultural Programme on Republic Day

Dehradun, 27 Jan: A vibrant cultural programme was successfully organised at Mount Zion School with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers. The programme aimed to promote cultural values, confidence, unity, and patriotism among students.

The event began with a prayer said by the Principal Sonia Paul, which created a calm and spiritual atmosphere and marked an auspicious start to the programme. This was followed by a Hindi speech by Anupriya expressing meaningful thoughts on values, discipline, and responsibility. The speech was well received by the audience.

The programme continued with a series of songs that filled the hall with joy and melody. The group song “Bind Us Together” beautifully conveyed the message of unity and harmony. Another inspiring song, “Make Me a Channel”, spread the message of peace, love, and service to humanity.

The patriotic spirit of the event was highlighted through the Hindi patriotic song “Hum Bharat Ke Hain”, which filled everyone with pride and love for the nation. After that a special performance from classes 3 ,4 and 5 who spoke on the theme, role in nation building and a value based moral for republic day which was very meaningful for the children to do what is right, love one another, and to work together to make the country strong and peaceful. This was followed by speeches by teachers Meenakshi Rawat and Sonia Caesar, who motivated the students, appreciated their efforts, and emphasised the importance of cultural activities in overall development.

One of the major attractions of the programme were the colourful and energetic dance performances by Nursery, KG, and UKG students. Their innocence, enthusiasm, and cheerful expressions won the hearts of everyone present and were rewarded with loud applause. The programme concluded with a poem recitation, which conveyed a meaningful message and left a lasting impression on the audience.
