IISWC exhibits soil conservation techniques at 19th USST Conference

Dehradun, 2 Dec: ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation organised an exhibition under the guidance of Dr M Madhu, Director, and Dr Charan Singh, Chairman, Department of Human Resource Development, at the 19th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Conference – 2024 (UCOST 2024) organised by Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) on the theme, “Water and Natural Resource Management in the Context of Uttarakhand”, at Doon University from 28 to 30 November. Various technologies of the Institute were displayed on the occasion.

The event was inaugurated by Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

On the occasion, Praveen Kumar Tomar, Senior Technical Officer, and Sonu Sharma, Technician, were present at the exhibition site. Students and visitors showed special interest in the technologies of the Institute and appreciated the efforts being made.

UCOST Director General Professor Durgesh Pant and Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan also visited the exhibition and appreciated the work being done in the field of soil and water conservation and recorded their feedback in the visitor’s book. During this period, about 300 visitors visited the exhibition.
