Dehradun, 16 Sept: On the occasion of Jyoti Jot Diwas of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) paid obeisance at Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Doiwala, and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state and the nation.
On this occasion, the Governor said that following the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji and imbibing his teachings in life leads one to true righteousness. The core mantra of his teachings, “Ik Onkar Satnam,” is deeply inspirational. His principles of walking the path of goodness, compassion, justice, and equality serve as eternal guidance for all of humanity.
Lt Gen Singh further said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of “Naam Japo, Kirat Karo” embodies the essence of all his teachings. These sacred teachings are a source of inspiration for all and work to bind society together in the spirit of unity.
