Dehradun, 10 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today addressed the media at the BJP state office, claiming that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government’s 11 years have seen India establish a distinct identity on the global stage as a strong, capable, and self-reliant nation. He highlighted that significant efforts have been made to achieve the vision of a developed India.

Dhami asserted that the past 11 years under the Prime Minister’s leadership have been guided by the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’. He added that this period has also been crucial for the preservation and promotion of India’s rich cultural heritage. The CM also recalled the “extensive work” being done across the country in the direction of development and innovation. He particularly lauded the Ayushman Bharat Yojana as a blessing in the healthcare sector and pointed out India’s rapidly increasing participation in exports, bolstered by the strength of ‘Make in India’. He asserted that India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, establishing itself as a global economic power.

Dhami further elaborated that crores of citizens across the country are benefiting from numerous public welfare schemes such as the Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachhta Abhiyan, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and free ration schemes. This, he claimed, has resulted in a more than 80 per cent reduction in India’s poverty rate, with over 27 crore people having risen above the poverty line in the last 11 years. He also emphasised that ‘courageous decisions’ like the abrogation of Article 370 and the ban on Triple Talaq were taken under the Prime Minister’s leadership. Dhami reminded that India is now not only manufacturing indigenous defence equipment but also exporting them globally and added that this has led to a rapid increase in India’s defence exports. He further noted India’s improved ranking in the Ease of Doing Business, moving from 142 globally to 63. He also mentioned the relief provided to the middle class, with income up to Rs 12.75 lakh now exempt from tax under the new tax regime.

Dhami also claimed that the Modi government has significantly accelerated infrastructure development. He stated that 99 per cent of villages are now connected by roads, and 34 kilometres of highways are being constructed daily across the country. Rail and air connectivity have also expanded rapidly. The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has paved the way for 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. He also claimed that the Startup India scheme has made India the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem.

Dhami concluded by stating that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, rapid work is being undertaken in every sector in Uttarakhand. He mentioned that the construction of the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line is progressing very quickly, and that the work on the Delhi-Dehradun elevated road is also moving at a fast pace. He expressed confidence that the construction of the Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib ropeways would greatly convenience pilgrims.
