DEHRADUN, 17 Dec: The morning of 16th December 2021 was a much anticipated event, the day we hold the Inter House Carol Singing competition. After a very long gap of nearly two years, this wonderful event finally took place. The teachers as well as the students looked full of great enthusiasm and were seen preparing whole heartedly for their respective houses. One could hear beautiful carols being sung with a lot of zeal and excitement. Rachel Scott from Gardner House sang ‘O holy night’ followed by Shraddha Chakraborty who sang ‘So this is Christmas’. Anandita Thapa from Khanna House presented ‘Santa Claus is coming’. It was followed by Surabhi Gurung who sang the famous ‘All I want for Christmas is you’. In the Duet Singing Category, Nandini Pandey and Avni Devrani sang ‘Mary’s boy child’. Aahana and Sanyunkta Chakraborty sang ‘Last Christmas’. Priyanshu Prakash and Garv Kapoor from Khanna House sang ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’ while Ishan and Tanishka from Lyons House sang ‘Jingle Bell Rock’. In the Group Singing Category, Gardner House sang ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’’, Howard House sang ‘We three Kings’, Khanna House sang ‘Feliz Navidad’ and Lyons House sang ‘When a Child is born’. Principal VR Gardner wished everybody ‘Merry Christmas’ and congratulated the lucky winners. Vice Principal Michelle Gardner also complimented all the participants. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed this musical extravaganza. The results of the competition were: Solo Singing Category First – Surabhi Gurung (Lyons House), Second – Rachael Scott (Gardner House). Duet Singing Category First – Ishan & Tanishka (Lyons House), Second Nandini Pandey & Avni Devrani (Gardner House). Group Singing Cateogry First – Lyons House, Second Gardner House and Third Howard House & Khanna House.
