CM reviews projects related to Nainital, US Nagar districts

Pantnagar, 11 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the progress of development projects and schemes of various assembly constituencies in Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts in the administrative building auditorium of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar. The review was pertaining to the assembly constituencies of Lalkuan, Bhimtal, Nainital, Kaladhungi, Kashipur, Gadarpur and Rudrapar.
Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, MLAs Trilok Singh Cheema, Bansidhar Bhagat, Mohan Bisht, Sarita Arya, Shiv Arora, Ram Singh Kaida and high officials of the government and districts were present at the review. The MLAs present at the meeting appreciated the initiative of the Chief Minister and thanked him.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to give top priority to resolving problems of the public and to work out the simplification of procedures in the implementation of schemes. He further directed the officials to accord top priority to the problems and issues raised by the local MLAs.
The Chief Minister said a system is being developed in the state that the pension of the beneficiaries of the schemes of the Social Welfare Department reaches their accounts by the first day of every month. Along with this, a campaign is being started to make all kinds of necessary certificates available to the students in the schools. The CM directed the Forest Department officials also to follow the path of simplification. He also gave instructions to build circuit houses in each district. The Chief Minister directed that, in view of the coming monsoon season, along with preparations for disaster relief, effective action should be taken to prevent spread of water-borne diseases, to carry out sanitation and cleanliness campaigns, and to take effective measures for prevention of lumpy virus. He instructed the officers to quickly resolve the issues raised at the meeting.
Dhami directed the officials that the problems being raised by the MLAs of their areas should be taken seriously and resolved immediately. Instead of blaming delay in implementation of development works on each other, the departmental officers should pay attention to their disposal with mutual coordination. He said that whatever proposals come for various announcements in the assembly constituencies by the people’s representatives, should be thoroughly examined. It should also be clarified in what time period the said proposals can be completed. He said that a new work culture has to be implemented in the state. For quick resolution of public problems, officers should work by increasing mutual coordination by removing lack of communication. The Chief Minister instructed the officers that all the departmental secretaries should solve the public problems of their constituencies put forward by the MLAs in the meeting as soon as possible, taking them up on priority.
AT the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed about the construction and repair work on the roads, canals, work related to flood control, strengthening of sewerage and drainage system, development of tourist places and other problems of the assembly constituencies by the MLAs.
