Dehradun, 10 May: Kasiga School hosted a week-long Summer Sports Coaching Camp at its campus here. The camp was conducted from 3 to 10 May for 14 disciplines, namely Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Chess, Football, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Swimming, Skating, Table Tennis, Taekwondo and Yoga.
During the sports training camp, the students were exposed to intense physical training during the morning and evening sessions, which were each two and half hours long. The camp hosted 12 coaches from various locations in the country working at various reputed organisations as well as the 7 in-house coaches of the school.
Thirty students from West Delhi Cricket Academy also participated in the camp along with 2 coaches. The students were exposed to international coaching and skill training by the guest coaches. Work was done on their skills and fitness.
The closing ceremony of the camp was conducted today at the school campus in the presence of the Chief Guest, Satyavrat Bansal, ex-DGP, Uttarakhand, School Chairman Ramesh Batta and Head of School Dr Rajput Surendra Singh. Awards were given to students in all the disciplines by the school as well as the West Delhi Cricket Academy.
