RISHIKESH, 19 Jul: A truck carrying Kanwar Yatris overturned near Kali Mata Temple, around 3-4 km from Natraj Chowk, on Saturday morning, leaving 11 people injured. The truck was en route from Rani Pokhri to Rishikesh when the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn on the roadside.
As soon as the police Control Room received the alert, teams from Kotwali Rishikesh and Rani Pokhri police stations rushed to the spot. With the help of ambulances, the 11 injured yatris were immediately taken to a hospital in Rishikesh.
Doctors confirmed that all injuries were minor. A total of 28 Kanwar Yatris were on board the truck. All the injured yatris are from village Seeman, district Kaithal, Haryana.
The remaining passengers received first aid at the scene. No serious injuries were reported, and the police ensured smooth traffic flow around the accident site.
