Haridwar, 8 May: Moved by the spirit of love and patriotism for the country, seven youths from Kerala came to Haridwar. They went to the Himalayas and trekked to Kedarnath, Tungnath, Badrinath, Rudranath and Guptkashi and offered special prayers for the wellbeing of the country. Exactly nine hours after the culmination of their prayers, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ and killed 90 terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
This is two weeks after a deadly militant attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir which had taken a toll on 26 tourists in Pahalgam in Kashmir.
Led by famous vlogger Anu Sherin, commonly known as ‘Pahadi Mallu’, the six youngsters started for the Himalayas from Thrissur village in Ernakulam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala. Starting their return journey from Haridwar, Pradeep Palakkal, a wellness expert and astrologer said, “We, a group of seven people, started travelling from Kerala on 26 April and reached Haridwar on 28 April to pray for our nation and our soldiers, with our group leader Anu, Pahadi Mallu. Visiting Kotta Cave the next day, we reached Gauri Kund and trekked to Kedar Nath. We intensely prayed for our soldiers in the Indian defence services and also paid tributes at the holy shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath for the deceased tourists. Exactly 9 hours later, we got the news that India has launched a series of strikes on Pakistan. We keep praying for our soldiers in the forefront.”
A group member said, “Every citizen of India feels for our soldiers who sacrifice their own comforts so that we live in peace. We were also moved by the ghastly killings in Pahalgam so thought of visiting this Himalayan state of Uttarakhand and offering our prayers to the Deities for the wellbeing of all. The trekkers included Anu Sherin, Pradeep Palakkal, Nish, Vinod Mantharam, Shankaran Laduthol, Ratheesh, and Sethunath.
