Dehradun, 21 Nov: BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt today claimed that his party has received overwhelming support of women in the Kedarnath Assembly byelection which will ensure a huge win for the party candidate, Asha Nautiyal, on 23 November when the counting is held. Speaking informally to journalists at the BJP State Headquarters here, today, Bhatt also claimed that the party was able to successfully mobilise migrant voters who will also prove to be a key factor behind the anticipated record victory in the Kedarnath by-election. Bhatt also expressed his gratitude to party workers for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts during the campaign.
Bhatt claimed that the BJP workers have displayed immense diligence and dedication in the Kedarnath by-election. Early indications from all polling booths suggest the party candidate is headed towards a record-breaking victory. The historic developmental works under the double-engine government of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dhami have resonated strongly with voters, fostering widespread support, he asserted.
Bhatt highlighted that the enthusiastic participation of women during the voting process was a clear signal of the party’s impending triumph. He claimed that the way women turned out in large numbers shows their confidence in the BJP candidate. He also attributed the youth’s support to initiatives like the strict anti-cheating law and the record-breaking recruitment of over 18,000 youth in state government services by the Dhami government.
Discussing efforts to overcome traditionally low voter turnout in by-elections, Bhatt praised the party’s outreach programmes targeting migrant voters. He asserted that the party workers worked hard to bring over 1,700 migrant voters to Kedarnath for casting their votes which has significantly boosted participation in this democratic festival.
Bhatt further emphasised that the anticipated victory in Kedarnath symbolises the triumph of positive politics over divisive narratives. He claimed that the result of the byelection will silence those spreading misinformation and doubts about Devbhoomi’s development, Sanatan culture, and the safety of locals and pilgrims. BJP is set to achieve an all-time record in Kedarnath.
