Minister Ganesh Joshi discusses projects in U’khand with Union MoS Ajay Tamta

New Delhi, 30 July: Uttarakhand Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi met Union Minister of State for Road, Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta at Transport Bhawan, here, today.

During the meeting, Joshi requested Tamta for construction of the Mussoorie Tunnel and Kimari Motorway.

The Union Minister stated that action is being taken to prepare the DPR of the Mussoorie Tunnel. After the construction of the Mussoorie Tunnel, there would be no traffic jam on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road. After its construction, local residents as well as tourists would benefit. Pilgrims going to Gangotri and Yamunotri during Chardham Yatra will also be convenienced.

Joshi also requested the Union Minister of State for widening the road from Dehradun to Hathipaon Mussoorie via Kimari. He said that due to traffic jams on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road, it is used as a bypass. Considering the importance of the Kimari-Mussoorie road, the Cabinet Minister requested approval of the budget for the construction of this road through Central Road Fund. The Union Minister said that approval was given on sending the proposal through CRF item (Central Road Fund).

Ganesh Joshi discussed in detail with Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta regarding Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Dehradun Mussoorie Connectivity Road, Dehradun Ring Road and Dehradun-Paonta Sahib Project.
