MUSSOORIE, 10 Dec: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi held a review meeting at his camp office on Tuesday with district administration officials, Mussoorie Municipal Corporation, and local residents to discuss the ongoing development works and resolve several other issues in the Mussoorie Municipal area.
During the meeting, Minister Joshi directed the district administration to strictly manage the movement of taxis and two-wheelers on Mall Road in Mussoorie. This measure aims to avoid any inconvenience to tourists while commuting on Mall Road. The Minister also addressed the concerns of rickshaw drivers regarding the use of golf carts in Mussoorie. He instructed the district administration officials to come up with a fair solution and prepare a plan within a month. The officials were also directed to hold a meeting with the rickshaw drivers to resolve the issue.
Joshi emphasized that people above the age of 60 should be provided a one-time settlement, and dependents of deceased persons should be given the option of a designated space on the roadside. He also suggested accommodating other individuals in golf carts. Additionally, the Minister instructed the officials to prioritize the construction of toilets and take prompt action regarding the site selection for the Tehsil building in Mussoorie.
Present at the meeting were Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mussoorie Anamika, SDM Sadar Hargiri, EO Tanveer Singh, Rakesh Rawat, Mohan Petwal, Manmohan Singh Mall, OP Uniyal, Rajat Agrawal, Sandeep Sahani, Satish Dhaundiyal, and other officials.
