Dehradun, 30 Apr: The Seventh PC Batta All India Cricket Tournament concluded on a thrilling note here, today, with MNSS Rai School from Sonepat lifting the coveted Champions Trophy after a hard-fought final against Kasiga School, Dehradun. The tournament, which began on 15 April, brought together some of the finest school-level cricket teams from across the country in a spirited celebration of sportsmanship, talent, and youthful energy.

The grand finale witnessed a gripping match between two determined sides, with both Kasiga and MNSS Rai School displaying exceptional skill, teamwork, and resilience. In the end, MNSS emerged victorious, clinching the title and etching their name in the tournament’s illustrious history.

The Chief Guest at the closing ceremony was RP Devgan, an eminent educationist, visionary leader, and accomplished sportsman. With a legacy spanning over four decades in the field of education, Devgan has also excelled in the world of sports. He has represented Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, played for Kent in English County Cricket, and earned national and international honours in squash, table tennis, and football. An adventurer at heart, Devgan has led expeditions in the Himalayas and completed an extensive rafting journey across the Zanskar and Indus Rivers. In his address, he emphasised the importance of lifelong fitness, encouraging young players to continue integrating discipline and athleticism into their lives.

The event was also attended by Siddharth Batta (Director), Ramesh Batta (Chairman), the Headmaster and Deputy Head of Kasiga School, and guest Rajkumar Sharma, renowned coach of cricketing icon Virat Kohli.
