MoU signed between Rural Livelihood Mission and Patanjali Trust

Haridwar, 25 Mar: An MoU was signed between Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission (USRLM) and Divya Yoga Mandir Trust (Patanjali) at a function organised at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar today in the presence of Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi. On this occasion, MoU (Form of Understanding) was signed between Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission and Divya Yog Mandir Trust (Patanjali). Swami Ram Dev, Acharya Balkrishna along with officers of Rural Development Department were present in the programme. Minister Ganesh Joshi also sought blessings of Swami Ram Dev on this occasion.
Addressing the programme, Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi said that under the Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission, the scheme is being implemented in 95 development blocks of 13 districts of the state in a phased manner. The main objective of the scheme is to strengthen the economic condition of the poor families in rural areas by developing their capacity and skills along with sustainable livelihood enhancement. Joshi said that by organising 4.22 lakh women, 56362 groups and 5718 village organisations and 353 cluster level organisations have been formed in the state. In the financial year 2023-24, it is proposed to form 6000 self-help groups in the state by organising a total of 4.91 lakh families and forming a total of 64,000 groups.
Joshi said that there is a provision to grant a revolving fund ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 to each group under the Revolving Funds Scheme. It is proposed to give the fund to 6000 groups in the financial year 2023-24. After which 85 percent groups of the state will be covered with the revolving funds scheme. He said that Rs.4133.37 lakhs has been provided to 39,715 groups as revolving fund and Rs 15,285.41 lakh as community investment fund to 25,636 groups in the state by preparing micro loan scheme for 50921 groups for their small needs.
