Mussoorie Women Congress celebrates Women’s Day

Mussoorie, 8 Mar: International Women’s Day was celebrated by the Mussoorie Women Congress under the leadership of Jasbeer Kaur, President, at the auditorium of the Mussoorie Gurdwara, here, today.
On this occasion, girls presented cultural programmes. Folk songs were presented by the famous folk singer, Manu Vandana.
On this occasion, Jasbir Kaur felicitated Manu Vandana by presenting a shawl and flower bouquet. Manu Vandana appealed to everyone to pay special respect to their mothers. She urged women not to think of themselves as weak under any circumstances. She said that she gives free music and dance coaching to children in Mussoorie.
Principal Nimesh Dangwal also called upon women to come forward and also provide education to their daughters. Jasbeer Kaur said that, on the occasion of Women’s Day, every year, she made women aware of their rights. She said that even today there are many evils in society; many parents give more attention to boys, while girls are not paid much attention. She said that even today girls are not safe in society. It is the duty of each and everyone to make girls strong.
Present on the occasion were Nimesh Dangwal, Santosh Bothiyal, Bharosi Rawat, Jashoda Sharma, Sarita Panwar, Sarita Kohli, Aarti Aggarwal and many others.
