Mussoorie, 25 Jun: Young local advocate Aryan Dev Uniyal has been appointed as the Central Government Standing Counsel at the Uttarakhand High Court. To mark this achievement, a grand felicitation was held on Thursday at a hotel auditorium near Picture Palace, where members of the legal fraternity, public representatives, and prominent citizens extended their congratulations. Speakers at the event remarked that the selection of a young advocate from Mussoorie for such a crucial role by the Government of India is a matter of pride for the entire region. This achievement serves as an inspiration for the youth to move forward through hard work, honesty, and dedication.
After being felicitated, Aryan Dev Uniyal stated that this appointment is not merely an honour but a significant responsibility. He pledged to live up to the trust placed in him by the Government of India with utmost integrity, honesty, and dedication. “I am grateful to my parents, mentors, senior advocates, and the people of Mussoorie; it is through their guidance and support that I have received this opportunity. This achievement belongs not just to me, but to all of Mussoorie,” he said. Uniyal emphasised that upholding transparency, impartiality, and constitutional values within the judicial system would remain his top priority. He also urged young advocates to progress through continuous study and hard work.
Meera Saklani, Chairperson of the Mussoorie Municipal Council, remarked that Aryan Dev Uniyal’s appointment has brought glory to Mussoorie, noting that the achievements of the region’s youth serve as an inspiration to society. Rajat Agarwal observed that this accomplishment demonstrates how young talent from Mussoorie is making a mark at the national level, expressing confidence that Uniyal would successfully discharge his duties.
The event was organised by advocates Ranbir Singh, Manoj Saili, and Mahadev Lekhwar, along with the advocate community of Mussoorie. During the proceedings, the advocates honoured Aryan Dev Uniyal by presenting him with a bouquet and a memento. Speakers remarked that his appointment has brought new recognition to the legal fraternity of Mussoorie. Attendees noted that his journey—rising from a small town to assuming a significant legal responsibility at the national level—serves as an inspiration for the youth.
