Dehradun, 19 Oct: Two days National Seminar titled “Conservation & Sustained Utilization of Biodiversity” was organized by Uttaranchal University, from 18th to 19th Oct. On the 2nd day expert talks were given by Dr. Gulshan Kumar Dhingra (Rishikesh), Dr. Narotam Sharma (SGRR University), Dr. Manish Dev Sharma (SGRR University), Dr. S.V. Mishra ((Allahabad), and Dr. Vikas Rana. The inauguration was done by the lighting of the lamp by the Chancellor of the University, Jitender Joshi. Vice Chancellor Prof. N.K. Joshi, , Dr. G.K. Dogra, Prof. S.V.Mishra (Allahabad), Dr. Ajay Singh (Dean Research), Dr. Nishesh Sharma (Head Biotech), Dr. Vivekanand Bahuguna (Biotech) judged the poster presentation and oral presentation. About 300 faculty members, Scientists, Research Scholars & Students also participated in the seminar.
Dr. Gulshan Kumar Dhingra (Rishikesh), Dr. Narotam Sharma (SGRR University), Dr. Manish Dev Sharma (SGRR University), Dr. S.V. Mishra ((Allahabad), Dr. Vikas Rana and all focused on Conservation and Sustainability of Biodiversity.
On the 2nd day Research Scholars presented and participated in oral presentation in which Ameen Manan (LPU), Ameen Rashid (Glocal University) & Saurabh (SGRR University) were the winners & in poster presentation Amritanshu Pathak ( Uttaranchal University), Priyavrit (Meerut) were the winners. In the valedictory session Director Student Affairs Dr. Abhishek Joshi & Vice Chancellor Prof. N.K. Joshi distributed the prizes with certificates to the winners. Vice Chancellor Prof. N.K. Joshi appreciated the efforts of faculty of Applied & Life Sciences for organizing such an event. In the end the convener Dr. Ajay Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
