Dehradun, 11 Nov: The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) is set to host an event at its Ashtavakra Auditorium on 13 November as part of the All-India Travel Awareness Campaign, “Inclusive India”, which spans from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. This campaign, organised by the Different Art Centre with support from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, aims to foster an inclusive society in India.

“Inclusive India” seeks to promote social inclusion for persons with disabilities through 41 magic-based awareness programmes across the nation. As part of the event at NIEPVD, visually impaired students will participate in various cultural performances, underscoring the importance of equality and inclusion.

Launched on 6 October, 2024, from Kanyakumari in observance of World Cerebral Palsy Day, the campaign will conclude in New Delhi on 3 December, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
