DEHRADUN, 14 Feb: Three locations- UPS Maalsi, UPS Johdi and Bodyguard Slum
Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya have been working on Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools. The initiative started in September 2016 and has been implemented in 20 government schools of Raipur Block of Dehradun and in Bodyguard Slum. In its endeavour to work with the government (Nagar Nigam) mandate of Swachh Bharat Mission, SBSV- Dehradun proactively participated in Swachhata Sarvekshan 2019 by propagating the Swachhata App and encouraging students, teachers and community members to undertake the Swachhata Survey. In the second leg, as part of Swachhata Sarvekshan 2019 campaign in Ward No. 1, SBMA’s Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya (SBSV- Dehradun) team staged Nukkad Natak ‘ Naya Savera’ in- UPS/PS Malsi, PS/UPS Johdi and Bodyguard Slum. The cultural organisation Garhkala Sanskritic Sansthan,Pauri Team presented an interesting and comical street theatre on the adverse impact of littering. The theatrical presentation explained the importance of waste segregation, recycling of waste and the role of each and every citizen in making Swachh Bharat Mission a success. The SBSV team also propagated the Swachhata App and appealed to the audience to download the App and help the government in their initiative of making Dehradun a better and cleaner city.
The participants in the programme included Sushant Bohra, Ward member of Ward No.1. Maalsi, Prem Bhallab Pant, Gambhir Singh Rawat (CRC Johdi), Prakash Negi, Sushil Kumar, Shraddha Bijalwan, Aakansha Joshi, Pushpa Badoni and Swagata Kainthola from SBSV- Dehradun team.
