Dehradun, 12 May: Municipal Commissioner Dehradun, Namami Bansal today conducted a detailed inspection of the under-construction modern park at Mothrowala. During the visit, she closely reviewed the ongoing construction and beautification works and also assessed the quality of structures, sanitation arrangements and availability of civic amenities.
On this occasion, Bansal directed the officials and the executing agency to complete the remaining works within the stipulated timeframe with high standards so that residents may soon have access to a clean, attractive and contemporary public space.
The municipal commissioner shared with the media that the construction of the park is nearly complete and the final phase of landscaping and finishing is progressing rapidly. She added that once all works are concluded, the park will be opened to the public. She emphasised that the facility will not only enhance the beauty of the area but also encourage citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Spread over approximately 6000 square metres, the park has been designed with a focus on environmental conservation and civic convenience. Special importance has been given to green space development to provide a natural and serene atmosphere. A safe and appealing walking track has been laid out for morning and evening walkers.
Attractive gazebos have been built for visitors to sit and relax, while yoga sheds and meditation zones have been created to promote wellness activities. A central water body is being developed as the main attraction, adding to the charm of the park. To improve civic facilities, kiosks and modern smart toilets have been installed, ensuring a clean, safe and convenient environment for citizens and children. A dedicated parking area of about 1200 square metres has also been developed to prevent traffic and parking issues for visitors.
The commissioner stated that the municipal corporation is continuously working to make the city clean, beautiful and environmentally friendly. The modern park at Mothrowala will serve as an excellent centre for recreation, health, yoga and social activities, contributing significantly to the overall aesthetics and green cover of the city.
