Dehradun, 24 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today asserted that Indian action has begun already following the historic and resolute decision taken against terrorism in the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting under the ‘able and decisive leadership’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that, in this regard, the Union Government has given a firm and befitting response to Pakistan by putting the Indus Water Treaty on hold.

Dhami claimed that these bold measures, spearheaded by the Prime Minister, not only reinforce India’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy against terrorism but also convey an unequivocal message to adversaries that the nation stands ready to respond appropriately to every act of terror. He emphasised that the embargo on the Indus Water Treaty underscores the Union Government’s firm stance that blood and water cannot flow together. This decisive action, Dhami claimed, would dismantle Pakistan’s machinations, which harbour and foster terrorism.

The CM further remarked that other significant measures, including the closure of the Attari border check post, have also delivered a stern warning to Pakistan, reiterating India’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and security.
