Railway Minister approves halt of Achhnera–Tanakpur Express at Banbasa station

Dehradun, 6 Aug: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has granted approval for the halt of train number 15093/15094 Achhnera–Tanakpur Express at Banbasa railway station on the request made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Vaishnaw conveyed the decision to the CM through an official communication, confirming that the train will now have a regular halt at Banbasa.

The approval has been accorded keeping in view public convenience, with the Railways taking a positive decision on the Chief Minister’s recommendation. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dhami observed that the decision would provide significant relief to the people of the border region, traders, students, families of soldiers and pilgrims. He added that with the stoppage of the Achhnera–Tanakpur Express at Banbasa, rail connectivity in the Kumaon region will be further strengthened and the local residents will benefit from improved travel facilities.
