Dehradun, 27 Aug: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran has strongly reacted to the recent statement made by Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat. Jugran said that, in the past few days, Harak Singh Rawat has been behaving abnormally and, in a state of excessive agitation, is making remarks that he may regret in the future.
Jugran pointed out that Harak Singh Rawat’s comment that “he would only wear a garland after the funeral of the BJP” is completely against Indian traditions and values. “In our culture, we do not even wish death upon our enemies. Whether it is the battlefield or the sports field, we have always followed rules and upheld healthy traditions. Being political opponents is natural but treating each other as enemies is not acceptable. Does the so-called “funeral of the BJP” not imply wishing for the death of its top leadership?” asked Jugran.
The BJP leader further said that Harak Singh Rawat is using the language of a blackmailer. By threatening that “if he is provoked, he will expose BJP leaders”, he is indulging in blackmail politics. Jugran remarked that, if Harak Singh Rawat indeed has any revelations in the interest of Uttarakhand, he should disclose them openly, instead of issuing hollow threats.
Jugran also recalled that Harak Singh Rawat had once sworn a false oath in the name of Goddess Dhari Devi and later went back on his word. “A person who can take false oaths in the name of deities is completely unreliable. By giving empty threats and using the language of blackmail, Harak Singh Rawat is only proving his untrustworthiness,” Jugran added.
