Garhwal Post Bureau
Dehradun, 11 Aug: Senior BJP leader Ravindra Jugran called on Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna on Monday and submitted a memorandum seeking amendment in the recruitment rules for the post of fisheries inspector. Jugran urged that the eligibility criteria for the post be broadened to include graduates in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, so that a larger number of youth may be allowed to appear in the examination. He said that this would increase competition and enable the department to recruit better personnel. Jugran further stated that along with these subjects, graduates in Fisheries Science should also continue to be given opportunities as earlier.
Responding positively to the representation, Minister Bahuguna directed the Secretary, Fisheries, Government of Uttarakhand, to examine the proposal and initiate necessary action.
