Dehradun, 12 Dec: Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat today claimed that recruitment to the vacant posts of ANM and nursing staff would be carried out soon. The vacant posts of ANM and nursing staff in the department would be filled within three months so that accessible health services could be made available to every person. He claimed that providing better health facilities to every person of the state was one of the priorities of the government. He also added that deployment of CHOs, ANMs and ASHAs would be ensured by linking health and wellness centres of the state with all modern facilities.
Rawat was addressing the gathering on International Universal Health Coverage Day organised at ITDA Auditorium, here, under the aegis of NHM Uttarakhand. He said that the Government of India is also making constant efforts to provide better health services to the common people in the whole country. Under which a two-day programme was organised in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Health, Government of India, on 10 and 11 December, in which more than 900 CHOs participated along with health ministers from across the country.
Rawat said that the state government would upgrade health and wellness centres across the state and connect them with all modern facilities.
Rawat said that, by 10 January, he along Secretary, Health, Director General Health, Director, NHM, and CEO, State Health Authority, would review health services in each district. Under which medical colleges, medical units, health and wellness centres, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, schemes of NHM, etc, would be reviewed. Apart from this, the problems of doctors, nursing staff, ANM and other personnel would also be heard.
In-charge Secretary Health and Mission Director Dr R Rajesh Kumar said that telemedicine service was working better in the state, which was benefiting thousands of people in rural areas. He said that this service would be made more effective by associating it with specialist doctors of medical colleges. Appreciating the work being done by ASHAs, ANMs and CHOs, he said that all these are the backbone of the department.
Health Minister Dr Rawat felicitated more than two dozen Atal Ayushman Health and Wellness Centres of Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Tehri Garhwal by presenting certificates for commendable work and better implementation of schemes. The programme was coordinated by Legal Consultant, NHM, Sushil Purohit.
On this occasion, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, In-charge Secretary, Health, and Mission Director NHM Dr R Rajesh Kumar, Director Health Dr Bharti Rana, Director NHM Dr Saroj Naithani, CMO Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Tehri and other departmental officers from different districts came. ANM, ASHA and CHO were present.
