Revenue officials told to prioritize PM Kisan Nidhi

DEHRADUN, 17 May: Commissioner and Secretary, Revenue Council of Uttarakhand, Ranjana Rajguru, has directed all revenue officials to expedite the disposal of long-pending revenue cases and accord top priority to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Nidhi) scheme. The directives were issued during a video conference meeting attended by Additional Commissioners of Garhwal and Kumaon divisions, all additional District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, and Tehsildars.
During the meeting, Ranjana Rajguru emphasised the need for a special campaign to clear revenue cases pending for more than one year. She instructed the officials to ensure that the general public does not face unnecessary inconvenience due to delays in case disposal. The Secretary also stated that the progress of pending cases will be reviewed regularly and instructed officials to hold regular Magistrate Courts for speedy resolution of these matters.
Stressing on the implementation of the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme, she asked all concerned officials to ensure that the scheme is completed within the stipulated timeframe. The Government of India has set a target to complete the scheme by May 31. She further directed all districts to send their proposals related to residential and non-residential building construction to the council at the earliest, so that construction work can be expedited without any delay.
In addition, the Revenue Secretary further instructed the officials to resolve the pending pension cases of retired employees on a priority basis. She also stressed on the prompt redressal of complaints received on the Chief Minister’s Helpline, stating that the announcements made by the Chief Minister should be given the highest priority.
Ranjana Rajguru also instructed that the work of Agriculture Census Phase-3 should be completed by June 2025. She urged all the officials to work in a time-bound manner to ensure that all government schemes and directives are implemented effectively for the benefit of the public.
