Rudraprayag, 7 Jun: District Magistrate Mayur Dixit visited Falasi Village of development block Agastyamuni under the programme “Sarkar Janata Kay Dwar”, today.
He participated in a Chaupal with the villagers at Government Upper Primary School, Falasi. He listened to their problems and conducted site inspections. As many as 30 complaints related to various departments were registered by the villagers, and for their disposal as soon as possible, the DM issued instructions to the officers concerned. He also instructed them to keep him informed about the action taken.
Van Panchayat Sarpanch Govind Singh Karasi demanded action regarding the damage caused by road construction. He sought tree plantation and construction of a security wall. The villagers of Falasi demanded the construction of an Amrit Sarovar, expansion of the playground at Raupravi, construction of a boundary wall as well as irrigation canals in the fields. Villager Santoshi Devi asked for the construction of a Gaushala and houses of Kuldeep Lal, Dinesh Lal, Bhawan Singh and Bhagmal Lal, while Gajendra Singh raised problems related to the non-availability of clean drinking water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Jeet Singh Negi informed the DM about damaged main roads in the village. A total of 30 complaints were registered by the villagers.
Dixit also inquired about departmentally run schemes like PMGSY, drinking water, health, education, etc. Apart from inspecting the primary school, he took information from the villagers regarding the number of students studying in the school and other arrangements. The Dixit assured the villagers that necessary action will be taken as soon as possible on the complaints filed today. He said that instructions have been given to other district-level officers to visit the villages so that the problems could be resolved at that level itself.
Earlier, the DM also visited Shri Tungeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Falasi village. He was welcomed by the villagers with garlands and bouquets. Block Development Officer, Agastyamuni, Praveen Bhatt coordinated the programme.
Present on this occasion were Village Head Babita Bhandari, Forest Sarpanch Govind Singh Karasi, PMGSY Junior Engineer Bhupendra Souryal, Junior Engineer Prateek Bhandari, Village Development Officer Ajay Bhatt, Village Guard Mahendra Karasi, Trilochan Bhatt, Anganwadi worker Pratima Negi along with other departmental officers.
