Ruskin Bond’s new book launched

Mussoorie, 23 Apr: A new book written by famous writer Ruskin Bond was launched by him and his fans at a programme organised here at the Cambridge Book Depot.
On the occasion, hundreds of fans bought the new book and took his autograph.
Addressing media persons, Bond said that his new book, Koki’s Song, is a beautiful short story about two children in which a girl, Koki, and cow herd Somi, are close friends. Koki is fond of the flute played by Somi. He said that he had been writing for many years, especially for children, and he had seen that his stories were liked by children and adults, alike. Now he had turned old and rarely came out of his house, but he tried to write more interesting stories, especially for children. In his message to the children and youth, he said that they should constantly work hard to achieve their goals and respect their parents and teachers.
The fans of Ruskin, speaking to Garhwal Post, declared they were very happy to meet Ruskin Bond. They said Ruskin Bond constantly wrote interesting stories for children that were liked by all, and some of his stories had been made into movies. They said coming to Mussoorie and meeting with Ruskin was a bonus for them. Sunil Arora, owner of Cambridge Book Depot, said that in order to meet Ruskin Bond, the fans had been standing outside his shop from early morning for the launch of the new book. Many bought the new book and obtained autographs of Ruskin on them.
