Derabassi, 20 Oct: The British School Golf Championship was held at the ATS Golf Course, Derabassi. A total of 75 golfers participated in this prestigious tournament.
Samriddh Chand Thakur from St Patrick’s Academy and IMA Golf Club won the 1st position in his category of under 9. He played a wonderful round of 2 over in this 35 holes golf course.
Samriddh won the trophy by a big margin of 10 strokes. Chinmay Savant of Panchkula got the 1st runner up position, while Udayveer from Chandigarh was the 2nd runner up.
Last week, Samriddh won the Selaqui Inter-School Golf Championship at the ITC Golf Course in Manesar and 2nd position in the national IGU feeder tour at Chandimandir, Chandigarh. He is currently at 2nd position in the IGU merit list.
