Dehradun, 19 Feb: The Uttarakhand Police have launched a drive to check the security system in and around banks and ATMs in Dehradun.
On the directions of SSP, Dehradun, Ajai Singh, the police checked the efficiency of the CCTV cameras installed at various points.
The police in a special drive also questioned some suspicious elements who were roaming around the banks and ATMs and verified their antecedents.
Instructions were given to banks where the police found that the CCTV cameras were not working properly.
The banks were told in unequivocal terms that there should be no negligence in the security standards in the banks.
