Dehradun, 26 Apr: The semi-final stage of the 8th All India PC Batta Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, hosted at the Kasiga School Cricket Ground, delivered two competitive encounters, setting the stage for an exciting final.

In the first semi-final, Kasiga School-A put up a strong all-round performance to defeat Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, by 40 runs. Batting first, Kasiga School-A posted a total of 126/9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Ayaan Bhatia contributing a crucial 40 runs. In response, Welham Boys were bowled out for 86 in 17.4 overs. Rishab Dagar was the standout performer, delivering an exceptional bowling spell of 4 wickets for 15 runs, playing a pivotal role in securing his team’s victory.

The second semi-final saw The Scindia School, Gwalior emerge victorious against BK Birla School with a convincing 6-wicket win. BK Birla, after opting to bat first, were restricted to 75 all out in 16.4 overs. The Scindia School chased down the target comfortably, reaching 77/4 in just 12.3 overs. Arjun Kothari impressed with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 17 runs, while Harsh Ahuja contributed with a steady unbeaten innings to guide his team home. With these results, Kasiga School-A and The Scindia School, Gwalior advance to the finals, promising a thrilling contest between two well-matched sides.
