New Delhi, 14 Dec: Jamia Hamdard’s Centre of Excellence in Unani Medicine (Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology), organised a Brainstorming Conclave 2023 on the topic, “Need for Advanced Scientific Research in Unani Medicine”, at Jamia Hamdard University, here, today.
The event began with recitation of the Holy Quran under the chairmanship of Hammad Ahmed (Chancellor, Hamdard Jamia) and Prof Muhammad Afshar Alam (Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard).
Dr Sohrab Ahmad Khan delivered the welcome address.
Dr Manju Chhugani spoke about the aims and objectives of the programme.
Dr Syed Farooq (President, Himalaya Wellness Company) was the Chief Guest. Prof Raman Mohan (Director, PLIM) and Prof Abdul Wadud (Director, NIUM) Bangalore were the Guests of Honour.
Prof M Sarwar Alam (Chief Proctor), Prof Dr Reshma Nasreen (Dean, Student Welfare), Prof Dr Shahnawaz Abdin, Prof Dr Syeedun Nisa, Prof Dr Khursheed Ansari, Dr Shohrab Ahmad Khan, Dr Ashif Khan and Mehnaz Ali expressed their views on the subject.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Sharmin Siddiqui.
