DEHRADUN, 19 Sep: Preparations are underway to hold ‘Seva Setu, Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ programme between September 25 and October 7 across the State under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. A meeting was held at the Secretariat here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal to review arrangements. Uniyal shared that the Seva Sankalp camps will be organised in all the districts at block and tehsil level.
The Minister said that along with health and multipurpose camps, stalls and exhibitions of various departments will be set up to disseminate information about welfare schemes of the Centre and the State. Eligible beneficiaries will be identified and extended benefits of the schemes. During the review meeting, the minister directed the officials that the medical camps be held in the presence of specialist doctors and awareness be spread among the public regarding the Tree Protection Act and human–wildlife conflict.
He instructed all the district magistrates (DMs) to provide detailed action plans including dates, venues, nodal officers, schemes and achievements. He emphasised that camps be organised at locations different from those used earlier under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ programme so that more people can be connected with schemes. He also directed wide publicity be given to this event through hoardings and banners.
Vice-Chairperson of the State Disaster Management Authority Vinay Rohila informed that the Seva Setu campaign will run from September 27 to October 7. Camps will be held at the Block and Tehsil level, each operating for at least three days, with reporting of activities ensured.
Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that departmental stalls will be set up under the campaign. Beneficiaries will be selected, application facilities provided, success stories of beneficiaries presented and eligible persons given benefits of schemes.
Secretaries Vinay Shankar Pandey, C Ravishankar and Rajendra Kumar, Additional Secretary Rohit Meena, CCF Forest Rahul, CDO Dehradun Abhinav Shah and other officials were among those physically present while the DMs and the CDOs of all the districts joined virtually.
