Dehradun, 20 Oct: St Joseph’s Academy celebrated its 85th Annual Day on. All the Josephites were clad in impressive colourful dresses, ready to enthrall everyone with their heartwarming performances.
The Chief Guest, Governor Baby Rani Maurya, was given a warm welcome by the school authorities.
The programme commenced with Governor Maurya, Principal Bro Jeyaseelan, Vice Principal Bro Binoi, Community Leader Bro Jerome and Vice-Provencial of Patrician Brothers, India, Bro Sebastian lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The teachers and the Administrative Staff of St Joseph’s Academy were felicitated for their dedicated and meticulous service to the school. The title of the Josephite of the Year 2017-18 was given to Savinay Sharma, while Shashwat Durga was adjudged the Sportsperson of the Year. The ICSE and ISC toppers of the academic session 2017-18 were also felicitated.
The senior school students put up a spectacular prayer dance, which was followed by the musical play, “Alice in Wonderland” by the students of Junior School, which received a huge round of applause from everyone present.
The Middle and the Senior School students presented another musical play, ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and complimented all the Josephites. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Principal, Bro Jeyaseelan, and the School Choir singing the School Song.
