Dehradun, 23 Jul: At a meeting of members of the Sanyukta Nagrik Sangathan and many of its allied organisations held, today, all hailed the successful launch of the 3.8 tonne Chandrayan – II Space Craft by its GSLV MK-III heavy rocket, ‘Bahubali’.
All congratulated the ISRO scientists and those connected with it for their wonderful effort, especially after removing the earlier snag within a short time and following the old schedule of landing on the Southern side of the moon, where none has so far been.
Brig KG Behl (Retd), President, Sanyukta Nagrik Sangathan, said that the success of this mission would make India the fourth country in the world to land a vehicle and travel on the moon’s surface after the US, Russia and China.
The members also hailed the achievement of ace Indian sprinter Hima Das, who has won five gold medals at different meets within a short time. All wished her further success.
Those who participated and expressed their good wishes included Arif Khan, Mr and Mrs JS Jassal, Dr Mukul Sharma, Col AK Minhas (Retd), Bishamber Nath Bajaj, Sewa Singh Matharu and many others.
