Lucknow, 13 Nov: On the occasion of the Igas Baghwal festival, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence in here. She extended her best wishes and congratulations to him on the occasion of Uttarakhand’s famous cultural festival, Igas Baghwal. During the meeting, both leaders discussed several important matters in detail.
Bhushan presented a shawl, made using Uttarakhand’s traditional Aipan art, to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Later, the Chief Minister inquired about Bhushan’s ancestral village, Panchur, in Pauri district, and expressed interest in its development.
The Speaker briefed the Chief Minister about the ongoing development work in Kotdwar and shared future development plans for her assembly constituency. The conversation between the two leaders also focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination between Uttarakhand (particularly Kotdwar) and Uttar Pradesh.
While responding to questions from journalists in Lucknow, Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan remarked, “Our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi constantly inspires us to preserve and cherish Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage. His leadership not only motivates us to proudly promote our cultural identity but also ensures that future generations will preserve this heritage and bring it global recognition. His vision has given us the understanding that cultural diversity and traditions are an integral part of our identity, and it is the duty of every citizen to protect and preserve them.”
