Speaker inaugurates Panchayat Bhawan in Yamkeshwar

Yamkeshwar, 24 Nov: Assembly Speaker, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, today inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Bhawan in the village of Umda, located in the Yamkeshwar region. During the event, the Speaker interacted with the villagers and shared information about various developmental schemes.

Upon arrival at the village, the residents warmly welcomed the Speaker with traditional ceremonies. The sound of dhol and damau music, along with garlands of flowers, added to the grandeur of the reception.

In her speech during the welcome ceremony, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan assured the villagers of her commitment to working towards the overall development of the village.

During the inauguration, the Speaker honoured various groups of people from the village panchayat, especially farmers, self-employed youth, senior citizens, and former soldiers. She presented them shawls as a mark of respect.

Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said, “This honour is not just for you all, but for the prosperity of entire Uttarakhand. Together, we will make our state prosperous.”

The Speaker also praised the development work being carried out by the Gram Panchayat under the leadership of the Pradhan.

During the event, the villagers expressed their gratitude to the Speaker for her leadership in the development of the Panchayat. They particularly thanked her for the construction of the Panchayat Bhawan, considering it a significant step towards the overall development of the village.

After the inauguration of the Panchayat Bhawan, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan interacted with the villagers and listened to their problems and needs. She remarked, “The Panchayat Bhawan will assist the village Panchayat in administrative tasks and serve as a hub for development work. I am confident that this building will open new doors of opportunity for the people here.”

The Speaker further stated that the Uttarakhand government is committed to improving basic facilities in every village and town, and the implementation of development plans will be ensured at every level.

At the end of the ceremony, all attendees expressed their gratitude to the Speaker and expressed hope for continued efforts towards the development of the region under her leadership.

The event was also attended by Gram Pradhan Satya Harshwal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chatar Singh Chauhan, Mandal President Arvind Negi, Mahamantri Surjeet Rana, Bijendra Bisht, Mukesh Devrani, Dinesh Bhatt, Meera Raturi, and a large number of villagers.
