SSP transfers 11 policemen after bribery incident at ISBT Police Post

Dehradun, 15 May: After the officer in-charge of the ISBT police post in Dehradun was caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Dehradun, has taken immediate action. He has transferred 11 policemen posted at the ISBT police post to other stations in the district. He also inspected the functioning of the Patel Nagar police station.

During the visit, SSP checked the progress of ongoing cases and looked into the pending complaints at Patel Nagar police station. He spoke to the officers and staff and gave clear instructions to perform their duties with honesty and full dedication. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone showing carelessness or neglect in their work.

The SSP also transferred 11 policemen posted at the ISBT police post to other police stations in the district. Yesterday, the ISBT chowki in-charge was caught red-handed by a vigilance department team accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe.
