Dehradun, 14 May: Governor Lt-General Gurmit Singh (Retd) presided over the concluding event of a week-long Sujok Therapy training programme at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday. At the special initiative of First Lady Gurmeet Kaur, the training was provided by Dr Subhash Chowdhary, President of International Sujok. Information about Sujok therapy was given to the women of Raj Bhavan families.

Dr Chowdhary told the women about the diagnosis of minor health related problems.
On this occasion, Lt-General Singh said that women should leave their hesitation aside and try to improve their skills. He said that there was no dearth of skills in women, which needed to be identified and linked to self-employment. By becoming self-reliant and empowered through small businesses, they could move on towards successful entrepreneurship.

She said that efforts are also being made to provide various types of self-employment training to women under the Family Welfare Programme. Efforts would also be made to make self-employed women economically empowered and self-reliant.
