Dehradun, 26 Aug: Creating a joyful space for children to learn, express themselves and explore their creativity, Support Wings – Dehradun organised “Little Smiles”, a recreational and learning-focused initiative at Antarman Pariwar, Lane C-13, Turner Road, here. The initiative brought together 18 volunteers and reached approximately 75–80 children.
The programme was designed to provide children with a fun, interactive and meaningful learning experience through creative activities and basic life-skill development. The initiative focused on encouraging confidence, creativity, communication and practical thinking among the participating children.
During the event, volunteers engaged with the children through a variety of activities, including dance, face painting, Best Out of Waste, and basic real-life problem-solving exercises. A creative craft activity also gave the children an opportunity to decorate paper cups and turn them into colourful hangings, allowing them to express their creativity while learning through hands-on participation.
An interactive session on real-life problem-solving skills further encouraged the children to think practically and engage with everyday situations. The event concluded with the distribution of cupcakes and noodles, adding a memorable and enjoyable element to the experience.
The initiative created an encouraging environment where children could interact freely with volunteers while developing new skills. The activities promoted teamwork, communication, creativity and practical problem-solving, while giving children an opportunity to learn in an informal and enjoyable setting.

Support Wings is one of India’s fastest-growing youth-run organisations, built and led entirely by young people aged 14–24. What began as a youth initiative in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, has grown into a nationwide network with 80+ branches across India, connecting young individuals from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh.
Support Wings works as a virtual ecosystem of leadership, collaboration, learning and social action, enabling young people to participate in internships, national programmes, community initiatives and social-impact projects. Through community service, environmental campaigns, youth programmes and other social-impact initiatives, Support Wings seeks to transform youthful energy and ideas into organised action and meaningful change.
