Dehradun, 25 Jul: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a spectacular symphony band performance was organised at Thimayya Hall, Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), here, for 375 students from prominent schools across Dehradun. This event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and commemorate the valour of the armed forces.
Students from schools including APS Birpur, KV Birpur, KV Anarwala, The Doon School, Welham Boys’ School, Cambrian Hall, Unison World School, and Aryan School were in attendance. The event featured enthralling performances by the bands of the Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre (GRRC), the Kumaon Regimental Centre (KRC), and the Bengal Engineer Group (BEG).
The bands captivated the young audience with a stirring selection of patriotic and martial tunes, performed with military precision and zeal. The event was a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers during the Kargil War. It was also an opportunity for students to connect with the rich legacy of the armed forces and be inspired by their valour. The performances evoked a deep sense of national pride and admiration in the children for the brave soldiers who fought in the Kargil conflict.
